As part of the international “Aral Tourism Week” taking place in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the international gastronomic festival “99 Dishes from Aral Fish” was held today in the city of Nukus.
The festival aimed to widely promote the gastronomic tourism potential of the regions. Skilled chefs and enthusiasts prepared dishes beloved by people of all ethnicities living in our multinational country.
Local and foreign tourists, students, and members of the general public took part in the event.
At the end of the festival, chefs who competed in preparing traditional fish dishes characteristic of the Aral Sea region were selected as winners and prize-holders and were awarded valuable gifts.
To ensure fair and professional evaluation of the dishes, the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan formed a judging panel. The jury included the Association’s Chief Technologist — Tolibjon Umaraliev, Head of the Karakalpakstan Regional Office — Gulmurza Yuldashev, Association Instructor — Bekchanov Ne’mat, as well as a professor of the Khorezm Mamun Academy.
