On April 25, 2025, a presentation dedicated to showcasing Uzbekistan’s tourism potential was held in Almaty. The event gathered leading representatives of the tourism industries of both countries, diplomats, experts, and business circles. Participants discussed prospects for tourism development, new cooperation initiatives, and the promotion of the rich cultural and historical heritage of the region.

The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Kazakhstan, Bakhtiyor Ibragimov, delivered a welcoming speech, highlighting the importance of further strengthening tourism ties between the two states and emphasizing that the rich culture and history of Uzbekistan serve as a strong foundation for attracting international visitors.

Representatives of the Tourism Committee provided detailed insights into the tourism potential of the country’s regions, placing particular emphasis on infrastructure development, support for domestic tourism, and the creation of new tourism products aimed at foreign markets. Guests were shown a video featuring the famous landmarks of Samarkand, Bukhara, and Khiva, as well as modern tourism facilities and opportunities for ecological and gastronomic tourism.

The team of the Association of Cooks of Uzbekistan organized a demonstration of traditional national dishes, giving guests the opportunity to discover the unique flavors of Uzbek cuisine.

As part of the presentation, B2B meetings were held, during which participants discussed prospects for joint tours, exchanged experiences, and established new business contacts.
